I finally have PICTURES!!

So in chinese, every syllable has a character (most of the time) which means that every syllable also has a meaning. Repent is regret and change, baptism is water ceremony, and Hong Kong is fragrant harbor. In any case, sometimes to help us remember a word with more than 1 syllable, we break it up into it's individual parts. This week we figured out that peanut butter is "flower-life-juice" which is funny enough, but then we realized that in tangled, the mom didn't really need the magic flower tea, she just needed  ðŸ¥œ PEANUT BUTTER!! 🥜

#ChineseIsTheBest

We had a stake activity about missionary work, sharing our light, and they tied it into this awesome art project. Everyone had to draw three circles with a (1) blessing (2) spiritual gift (3) scripture. Then  they pieced them all together like a quilt .

This is the one I drew ^^

And this is what it looked like at the end^ They are going to piece them together and hung them somewhere (maybe a museum??? Can't be too sure, they announced it in Cantonese)

We also had a stake activity that was like a giant carnival, and I used the Klutz ballon book I got for christmas to make me this viking helmet #WhyDoesNoOneInHongKongKnowWhatAVikingIs? #IEvenSaidItInChinese

^These^ are the things you do to make sure your investigator's kids have a good time at activities, even if they steal your camera

These are Sister Yuen's kids. The boy is Jan, and the girl is Vilian (don't question Hong Kong English names). Jan is my new best friend :D

DC 123:17 Therefore, dearly beloved brethren, let us cheerfully do all things that lie in our power; and then may we stand still, with the utmost assurance, to see the salvation of God, and for his arm to be revealed.

I (re)found this scripture this week, and I LOVE it! Let's look at it for a second. First, we need to be CHEERFULL! If we're not happy, then we're doing something wrong! I love this especially in light of Elder Nelson's talk on Joy last General Conference (I highly recommend it). Next, we need to work hard. That's the first lesson of life, to work hard for all of our goals. The last part is my favorite bit. We need to stand still. After all that we can do, we stand still, in peace. We hand it over in faith to God. And the promise of the scripture is that we will see the hand of God in our lives. What promises of God's hand in your life do you see? As for me
  • I'm learning CHINESE!
  • God answered my prayer and helped my investigator see a baptism on Sunday
  • I feel the love of the people around me
  • I find answered to prayers at church and in scripture study
  • I am blessed to be here, in such a special place, helping the elect of God find their way back :) What more could I want? Not much
Love y'all! See you next week!

I realize that the second half of this is in bigger print, it's from when I copied and pasted the scripture. But I think it's fitting :D Also I'm lazy and out of time! See you next week!
